Plaid Midi Skirt

This week in the Bay Area, it has been a record high in the heat department. I am currently being held captive by my air conditioner to beat the heat indoors. Yesterday, the kids and I went and saw Cars 3 not just for the movie, but for the air conditioning! Let’s hope this heat wave comes and goes sooner rather than later.

Last week, we made a trip our to Sycamore Grove in Livermore. Sycamore Grove is a park that spans 847 acres. You can hike, bike or even horseback ride along the trails and explore wildlife in their natural habitat. What a picturesque place to spend the day.

Right off the trail, there is a pretty little creek that made for the perfect place to capture some pictures. As much of a city girl I think I am, I have really learned to embrace this side of me that likes being surrounded by nature and all that entails mores now than prior to surgery. I thin when you go through something extremely traumatic, it opens your eyes to what is most important and what you want to spend the rest of your life doing to make you happy. I have quickly learned that spending more time outdoors has given me a stronger sense of calm and helps destress me on chaotic days. I can’t wait to take another trip out there closer to Fall where everything turns red and orange. It’s going to be beautiful.

Now, I want to switch gears and talk about this amazing new fashion app called Trove. I have mentioned it before on Instagram but wanted to give more detail here. Today they have placed me on the cover for the day, which is super exciting and I couldn’t be more flattered. The Trove app is the ultimate style experience connecting you to fashion bloggers and shopping their looks all within the same app. You can even read blog posts directly on the app. Love a look, but not quite ready to purchase it? You can save your favorite bloggers looks into your personal closet within the app. One of my personal favorite features is that you can search by type of look like feminine or boho chic or you can even search for bloggers in your area in the search by area tab. I haven’t come across any other app that does that! You can download the app, here.  Also don’t forget to check out their Instagram page too! You may see a familiar face….wink wink.

  9. Denim Ruffle Top – Champagne Colored Glasses | 28th Jul 17

[…] If you love this denim ruffle top, you should scoop it up quickly! I could only find one store that still carries it and its majorly on sale! If you are between sizes, I recommend sizing down one. It does have a slightly boxy fit but it’s cropped and works very well with all of my skirts. I have also worn this top with the skirt posted, here. […]
