Make-Up Monday….My Top 5 Lipsticks

Happy Monday! Today on the blog, I wanted to share with you the top 5 lipsticks I wear most often. I think Lip color is a fabulous way to accent a look, give your face a pop of color and make those luscious lips have a stand out moment. 

1. Smashbox Be Legendary Lip Lacquer in Firecracker

This is my go-to for bright shiny red lips. The color is gorgeous and it lasts all day! I wore it here. There is something about a bold red lip that makes me happy and lifts my spirit. When I wear this color, I usually go light on my eye make-up with neutral tones and sometimes throw on a black cat eye. This color seems to be discontinued but I listed another one similar, here.

2. Dior Rouge 359 Miss

This color is a great fuchsia pink color that isn’t too bright but just bright enough. I wore this color here and here. Dior is probably my favorite make-up line I use. It may be a little pricey, but I can see a big difference in quality in the foundation, mascara and lipsticks I wear. One thing I noticed as well, is that my lips never dry out or peel while wearing their lipstick like some other brands have.

3. MAC Creme Sheen Brave Red

Of course I had to have two reds on this post. I like to use this red, when I don’t want that shiny finish like the Smashbox has. Instead of being a bright red, this one although bold, has more of a bluish tone to it. I have worn this color in the look posted here.

4. Dior Rouge Nude  263 Swan (Hasard new color name)

I can easily say that I wear this one the most out of ALL my lipsticks or glosses. It is the perfect color for a nude lip and goes on so creamy and smooth. If you are looking for a nude color this is for you! I have worn it here and here. Quick! They are price matching at Nordstrom and are on sale!

5. Nars Schiap

This is a shocking pink semi matte lipstick that I wear mainly in Summer. It’s definitely a statement maker and will draw attention directly to your lips. I feel I look best wearing this color when my skin is little tan from the sun and it works well with my Summer looks. Nars is another brand I really like. It has a variety of shades and I love their funky names too.
