Pretty in Pink at Le Marais Bakery

Over the holidays, when Neil and I spent the weekend in San Francisco, we decided to grab brunch at Le Marais Bakery before we headed out to pick the kids up. I had heard so many good things about this bakery, nevermind how darling it is, and was super excited to test it out for ourselves. There are two locations in San Francisco, both equally adorable, however, we chose to spend breakfast at the Castro location.

We ordered our breakfast and of course I asked for Eggs Benedict. Just a small fun fact about me: I will ALWAYS order Eggs Benedict. I literally seek out restaurants that have it on the menu because I love it so much. If there are crab cake Eggs Benedict, even better! We also ordered four or five croissants and an array of macaron cookies. I mean, come on, I can’t show up empty handed to pick up the kids. We always bring them a treat back anytime we go out just the two of us. In fact, we spent the afternoon in San Francisco yesterday and stopped in La Boulangerie for some treats to bring home as well. And when I say I bring them home for the kids, I mean bring SOME home for the kids and some for us as well.

Everything we ordered was delicious including the coffee. Mixed greens came on the side with my eggs and the dressing was this tangy, mustardy goodness. Yum! My husband, who can at times be hard to please, loved his dish and we left feeling full, yet wanting more. I can’t wait to come back here soon and try more items off the menu. Brunch is my favorite meal of the day!

Also, I want to add how HUGE the croissants were, especially the Almond one! Our time at Le Marais was absolutely delightful!

Since we were visiting a French bakery, it seemed only appropriate to wear a French inspired look. I decided to wear one of the coziest cashmere sweaters I own and pair it with pink everything. Well…..except the jeans. I absolutely love wearing the color pink. I have this beret in so many colors, I can’t keep track. It’s one of the hats I wear most during the Winter season and they are so affordable too! I used to think I looked funny in hats, sometimes, I still do. However, I can’t resist a little French fashion any chance I get.
