I love when Neil and I can get away for a few hours to explore a new part of San Francisco we haven’t yet been to. It’s especially fun when it’s just us and the theme of our trip is to visit a champagne bar! It’s incredible that being the champagne lover that I am, I have never actually been to a bar specifically for champagne. When I came across The Riddler, online, I instantly knew we must immediately go there, and fast!
Over the holidays, when Neil and I spent the weekend in San Francisco, we decided to grab brunch at Le Marais before we headed out to pick the kids up. I had heard so many good things about this bakery, nevermind how darling it is, and was super excited to test it out for ourselves. There are two locations in San Francisco, both equally adorable, however, we chose to spend breakfast at the Castro location.
Who doesn’t love a cold bubbly glass of champagne during the Holidays? Or every Saturday for that matter? Are you raising your emoji hand? It’s no surprise that my favorite alcoholic beverage is champagne. Years ago, when I would go wine tasting with friends, I wasn’t very keen on any of the red or white wines we would taste. I needed something chilled and sparkling to wet my whistle. Champagne was the perfect solution. I have since broadened my tasting palette to include whites and reds but my love for champagne will never be matched! This Holiday season, I decided to list six easy champagne cocktail recipes for the next six weeks of the Holiday fun.
As most of you know, my husband, Neil, and I try and take the time to go on a date night once month. In a perfect world, we would do this more often. However, juggling the kids, sports practice, ballet, work and everything else, it’s pretty amazing if we escape to dinner alone at all. We chose to take a trip out to San Francisco for the day and eat dinner at Palomino.
