My Favorite Straw Hats For The Season
Hello May! It’s the perfect month to wear one of my favorite straw hats! Read on to get details on some fabulous straw hats as low as $22!
Can you believe we’re almost halfway through the year? Crazy, right? The next few weeks over here at the Wagner’s are going to be CHAOTIC. We decided to purchase a new home with our move in date set for the middle of May. I am trying to channel Marie Kondo and get this house together so moving will be that much easier. I have sold, donated and thrown out SO MUCH STUFF. Over last two weeks, I have been the sickest I think I’ve ever been with the worst cold; which then turned into a ruptured eardrum. No…I did NOT shove a q-tip in too far. It’s been “fun” trying to get stuff done when I feel like crapola. Did I mention my ballet schools performances are at the end of the month too? Yeah……I swear chaos finds me. I have been so bad about writing on the blog and I’m hopeful once Summer hits, I will have more time to designate to writing again. However, today, I carved out a little bit of time to bring you my favorite straw hats for the season.
I will admit I am somewhat of a straw hat-oholic. This is one accessory I often use with most of my daily looks during the Spring and Summer. Not only do I wear them to protect my face from the sun outdoors, but they are just the right touch to complete any warmer weather look. Today on CCG, I wanted to share some of my favorite straw hats that either I own or have on my wish list! You may notice a couple here that I have worn year after year. They are still available!

This past weekend it snowed here in the foothills and now today it’s going to be 80…. Today will be spent gardening. You can repeat this tip multiple times on the same bouquet to get maximum use out of your fresh blooms! SAVE AND SHARE THIS RECIPE! This festive #stpatricksday recipe is the perfect lunch/snack for everyone! Being the Irish gal that I am, I like to make fun recipes for the kids and this one is s favorite.
•puff pastry sheets
•corned beef (or you can use pastrami)
•Dijon mustard
•Swiss cheese
•clover cookie cutter
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Use your cookie cutter on the puff pastry. Add Dijon mustard, corned beef and Swiss cheese to half the clovers. Put the remaining puff pastry on top. Use a fork to put down the sides and seal the puff pastry. Then, brush egg wash over them. These will bake for approximately 20 min. Trust me…..these are super easy to make and soooo yummy! #puffpastry

SAVE AND SHARE MY MOST VIEWED RECIPE ! This is one of my favorite and most watched recipes and for good reason! My Ham and Cheese Croissant Bake is SOOOO easy to make and perfect for brunch! This can also be frozen and eaten later! Don’t take my word for it….make it and let me know how fast it was devoured.
•4 large croissants
•12-16 oz of cubed ham
•6 oz of shredded gruyere cheese
•6 oz of shredded cheddar cheese
•1/2 cup chopped chives
•6 eggs
•1 cup half and half
•1 tsp. honey
•1 tsp. Dijon mustard
•salt and pepper
Preheat your oven to 375. In a baking dish (spray with non stick spray) add in croissants, ham, cheese and chives. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, half and half, honey, mustard and salt and pepper. Pour the egg mixture over the bake and press down with a fork. Cover with foil and bake for approximately 50 min. This is such a great family recipe and feeds a good amount of people. I love that you shared such a variety of hats 🎩 in your posts. I personally cannot wear a large or really wide hat because i’m fairly short statured and I already know that those types of hats would make me look more stumpy and actually shorter than I already am.
