Hi, I’m April, a lifestyle blogger and the editor of Apriljwagner.com which serves as an outlet for creativity and inspiration. A word play on rose-colored glasses, this daily blog focuses on fashion and beauty as well as home and travel. My goal is to empower and give confidence to the every day woman while looking through a pair of champagne colored glasses.
I currently reside in the Bay Area of California with my husband, Neil, and our four adorable children. When I am not chasing after them, I spend my time teaching ballet at my studio, enjoying the occasional date night with the hubby, and doing some serious online shopping while sipping my fav champagne. After blogging for 7 years and working with various name brands on content creation, I realized photography was not only a skill I acquired along the way, but something I absolutely enjoy! It all started out as an online diary to vent my anxiety and frustrations surrounding a multitude of medical issues and spinal surgeries, which turned into two successful blogs, social media management and a photography business! Did I mention we are a husband and wife duo?!

With 25 year experience teaching children ages 3 through adult, and 7 years working professionally for brands producing content and photography, I am confident in capturing your special family moments. I love kids (I have 4), and I enjoy working on family photo sessions as well as yearly dance pictures for my studio, engagements and weddings and of course, brand content creation.

This past weekend it snowed here in the foothills and now today it’s going to be 80…. Today will be spent gardening. I’ve noticed that when I’m in the yard planting flowers in my flower box and spend time out there, it really makes me happy and relaxes me. What’s something you do that makes you happy?
SAVE AND SHARE THIS TIP! Want your fresh #hydrangeas to last longer? I have the perfect tip for you! You can repeat this tip multiple times on the same bouquet to get maximum use out of your fresh blooms! Simply, cut a small portion off the bottom of the stem, dip in ALUM (found in the spice section of the grocery store) and stick in cold water. I promise you, this trick works. SAVE AND SHARE THIS RECIPE! This festive #stpatricksday recipe is the perfect lunch/snack for everyone! Being the Irish gal that I am, I like to make fun recipes for the kids and this one is s favorite.
•puff pastry sheets
•corned beef (or you can use pastrami)
•Dijon mustard
•Swiss cheese
•clover cookie cutter
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Use your cookie cutter on the puff pastry. Add Dijon mustard, corned beef and Swiss cheese to half the clovers. Put the remaining puff pastry on top. Use a fork to put down the sides and seal the puff pastry. Then, brush egg wash over them. These will bake for approximately 20 min. Trust me…..these are super easy to make and soooo yummy! #puffpastry

SAVE AND SHARE MY MOST VIEWED RECIPE ! This is one of my favorite and most watched recipes and for good reason! My Ham and Cheese Croissant Bake is SOOOO easy to make and perfect for brunch! This can also be frozen and eaten later! Don’t take my word for it….make it and let me know how fast it was devoured.
•4 large croissants
•12-16 oz of cubed ham
•6 oz of shredded gruyere cheese
•6 oz of shredded cheddar cheese
•1/2 cup chopped chives
•6 eggs
•1 cup half and half
•1 tsp. honey
•1 tsp. Dijon mustard
•salt and pepper
Preheat your oven to 375. In a baking dish (spray with non stick spray) add in croissants, ham, cheese and chives. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, half and half, honey, mustard and salt and pepper. Pour the egg mixture over the bake and press down with a fork. Cover with foil and bake for approximately 50 min. This is such a great family recipe and feeds a good amount of people.
