The Perfect Tea Party
A few weeks ago, I took my daughters on a picnic up in the foothills of Pleasanton. The girls were especially excited about this as we put on fun floral dresses and skirts and headed out to find that perfect picnic spot.
We packed up our picnic basket with tea and teacups, muffins, macarons and fresh fruit and cheese among other delicious items. I brought a pretty floral quilt that served as the perfect canvas for our white dishes. I have had this tea set since before Laura, my oldest, was born and only have used it a handful of times. This was the perfect event to make use of them!
After spending the day outside in such a pretty and peaceful setting, you realize how important it is to spend quality time with your kids. Life becomes so crazy with dance classes, baseball practice and games, work etc, that you don’t get to slow down and take the time to just relax and enjoy each others company. We have been to this same area in the Fall where everything is brown and red. Since we have had so much rain in California, the grass is still green and many flowers are still in bloom. Both times, it has been a beautiful place to visit. Since we had so much fun, I am planning another picnic. This time the boys will be invited too. Although, I doubt tea will go over well with them. Fresh lemonade would be an amazing addition.

SAVE AND SHARE THIS RECIPE! This festive #stpatricksday recipe is the perfect lunch/snack for everyone! Being the Irish gal that I am, I like to make fun recipes for the kids and this one is s favorite.
•puff pastry sheets
•corned beef (or you can use pastrami)
•Dijon mustard
•Swiss cheese
•clover cookie cutter
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Use your cookie cutter on the puff pastry. Add Dijon mustard, corned beef and Swiss cheese to half the clovers. Put the remaining puff pastry on top. Use a fork to put down the sides and seal the puff pastry. Then, brush egg wash over them. These will bake for approximately 20 min. Trust me…..these are super easy to make and soooo yummy! #puffpastry

SAVE AND SHARE MY MOST VIEWED RECIPE ! This is one of my favorite and most watched recipes and for good reason! My Ham and Cheese Croissant Bake is SOOOO easy to make and perfect for brunch! This can also be frozen and eaten later! Don’t take my word for it….make it and let me know how fast it was devoured.
•4 large croissants
•12-16 oz of cubed ham
•6 oz of shredded gruyere cheese
•6 oz of shredded cheddar cheese
•1/2 cup chopped chives
•6 eggs
•1 cup half and half
•1 tsp. honey
•1 tsp. Dijon mustard
•salt and pepper
Preheat your oven to 375. In a baking dish (spray with non stick spray) add in croissants, ham, cheese and chives. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, half and half, honey, mustard and salt and pepper. Pour the egg mixture over the bake and press down with a fork. Cover with foil and bake for approximately 50 min. This is such a great family recipe and feeds a good amount of people. Been a little MIA the last couple weeks. It’s been jam packed with root canals, kids with pneumonia and double ear infections 😑. Spent yesterday at the Drs and then hospital for chest x-rays. In between that, Neil and I got away for a weekend to Las Vegas (my first time) and it was so fun and MUCH needed. I also loved that Neil planned it all this time (usually it’s me). He had shows and restaurant reservations all taken care of. It was a nice treat! Now, I’m dealing with getting all the germs out of this house and cleaning from top to bottom.
