Winter Trend: Polka Dot Everything
One trend I am fully embracing and have always loved, is the polka dot! I find the pattern to be classic and utterly adorable. Polka dots look great on just about anyone and at any age! Today on CCG, I have rounded up my favorite polka dot pieces to wear this season and beyond, details for this look, which, by the way, is on sale (#winning) and vent about being a mom of four!
Happy Polka Dots! Saturday, Neil and I had a blast at a San Jose Sharks game. We used to go ALL the time before kids and I figured it was the perfect V-day gift to give this year. It ended up being Warriors night and we ended up with free jerseys. My favorite part, however, was when SJ Sharkie, their team mascot, facetimed our kids at home from our seats. It was awesome! Today wasn’t so magical as the kids had the day off from school. Sure, that sounds wonderful in theory, however, doing any type of errand running or shopping with four kids is not exactly fun. After three stores, I was flustered, tired and ready to go home and hide in the closet eating my 3 lb box of See’s chocolates. True Story. My 6 year old currently makes this new sound that he finds hilarious. Have any of you seen Toy Story 3? Stay with me here…….remember the monkey that is in charge of “surveillance” at the daycare? Yes? Well…my son sounds like that monkey. I’m not sure that was what he was going for, but nevertheless, that’s how he sounds. It’s even more cringe worthy when he’s doing it through the frozen food section at Safeway and of course his younger brother eggs him on to continue. I just took my three minute shower and it was the best three minutes of my day.
In all seriousness, I love my kids and would do absolutely anything for them, but I don’t know why I put myself through shopping with them on a daily basis. My husband thinks I am crazy but if we need milk, we need milk. Where is that shrugging shoulders emoji when ya need it?
Anyhoo….If you have followed me for a while, I’m sure you have seen the various polka dot pieces that I wear, including this skirt recently worn in Solvang. I was wondering if you think polka dot print is a good pattern for the bigger girls like me? I personally don’t like the polka dot print on myself I’m a size 14… not a big fan of stripes either.
