Last week, my husband and I spent the day in San Francisco. I love that we live 45 minutes away and if you leave early enough, you miss any traffic! We ate chocolate croissants and lattes at a little French cafe’. Our 4 year old son, Will, came with us and while I had my hair done at the salon, Neil and Will explored the city. After I was done, we walked around Chinatown which still had the Chinese New Year’s decorations up. I love visiting San Francisco. There has always been a huge part of me that feels like a city girl inside even though I grew up in a town full of vineyards and cowboys. When I was a teenager, I spent three Summers in New York City, by myself in a Julliard dorm, dancing with School of American Ballet. Maybe that is where this longing to be in a big city stems from?
Since it was raining, like it has been for months here in California, I opted for my Burberry trench coat and scarf, my signature skinny jeans, a white top and over-the-knee boots. I’ve had this trench coat for years and it has held up amazingly. One of my favorite purchases EVER! They still have the same style available. I have linked to some other options below for a similar look without breaking the bank! Luckily, I am a pretty good bargain hunter when I set out to find a certain piece and will wait until they go on sale or clearance to purchase them. Another way to score these boots at half the price would be to wait until the Nordstrom Anniversary sale in July. They always have a pair of OTK Stuart Weitzman boots up for sale and almost always for 40-50% off.
We are off to the city again this weekend. This time we are bringing all the kids to the California Academy of Sciences and hopefully the botanical garden if the rain lets up! Have an awesome long weekend!
