Plaid Blazers Every Gal Needs In Their Closet
Wowee it’s November! FINALLY the weather here in California has gotten a little cooler during the day. I find myself reaching for one of my blazers to create a fabulous layered look. What I love about blazers are that they can be worn with just about anything to add that extra bit of polish to your outfit. Today on CCG, I have rounded together my favorite Fall plaid blazers that every gal needs in their closet.
Fall is my favorite transition season where I mix together most of my wardrobe. It’s not quite cool enough for my Winter coats, but also not warm enough to go without a layering jacket or sweater. Cue….the blazer. Feminine, structured, or even patterned, I am all about finding the perfect blazers. They serve as a staple piece in my wardrobe and a go-to for years to come. Below, I have listed my picks that are certain to get you excited for Fall as well as the details on the plaid blazer I am wearing in todays post.
Plaid Blazers
In this look, I paired a plaid blazer, by Rachel Antonoff, with a white button up top and blue jeans. It gives a classic feminine feel with a masculine edge. And although I can’t ride horses, I don’t mind looking the part! Ha! I absolutely think having a couple plaid blazers in your closet is a must. They are timeless and can be worn for years to come. SAVE AND SHARE THIS RECIPE! This festive #stpatricksday recipe is the perfect lunch/snack for everyone! Being the Irish gal that I am, I like to make fun recipes for the kids and this one is s favorite.
•puff pastry sheets
•corned beef (or you can use pastrami)
•Dijon mustard
•Swiss cheese
•clover cookie cutter
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Use your cookie cutter on the puff pastry. Add Dijon mustard, corned beef and Swiss cheese to half the clovers. Put the remaining puff pastry on top. Use a fork to put down the sides and seal the puff pastry. Then, brush egg wash over them. These will bake for approximately 20 min. Trust me…..these are super easy to make and soooo yummy! #puffpastry

SAVE AND SHARE MY MOST VIEWED RECIPE ! This is one of my favorite and most watched recipes and for good reason! My Ham and Cheese Croissant Bake is SOOOO easy to make and perfect for brunch! This can also be frozen and eaten later! Don’t take my word for it….make it and let me know how fast it was devoured.
•4 large croissants
•12-16 oz of cubed ham
•6 oz of shredded gruyere cheese
•6 oz of shredded cheddar cheese
•1/2 cup chopped chives
•6 eggs
•1 cup half and half
•1 tsp. honey
•1 tsp. Dijon mustard
•salt and pepper
Preheat your oven to 375. In a baking dish (spray with non stick spray) add in croissants, ham, cheese and chives. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, half and half, honey, mustard and salt and pepper. Pour the egg mixture over the bake and press down with a fork. Cover with foil and bake for approximately 50 min. This is such a great family recipe and feeds a good amount of people. Been a little MIA the last couple weeks. It’s been jam packed with root canals, kids with pneumonia and double ear infections 😑. Spent yesterday at the Drs and then hospital for chest x-rays. In between that, Neil and I got away for a weekend to Las Vegas (my first time) and it was so fun and MUCH needed. I also loved that Neil planned it all this time (usually it’s me). He had shows and restaurant reservations all taken care of. It was a nice treat! Now, I’m dealing with getting all the germs out of this house and cleaning from top to bottom.
