It’s been a while, guys. Neil and I took our FIRST weekend away from the kids since March 2020. Gasp! Our hotel of choice: The Palace Hotel San Francisco, of course! I’m sharing all the details with you, so read on!
Bye kids! We dropped off our four children with Grandma and Grandpa and headed to the city. I LOVE that first glimpse of San Francisco as you head over the Bay Bridge. Growing up so close, we used to frequent San Francisco quite often. Now as an adult, I appreciate how close we still live and try to make trips out here as a family or to spend some time with Neil. There are SO MANY activities, sights, food, you name it in San Francisco and it will always hold a special place in my heart.
About The Palace Hotel
A true San Francisco icon since 1875, the Palace Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, is a renowned historic landmark in one of the World’s most extraordinary cities. Nestled amongst the Financial District, the Palace Hotel is within walking distance to Union Square, a variety of shopping, delicious eateries and tourist attractions. Dripping with historic perfection, the Palace Hotel is the perfect place to stay while visiting San Francisco, not to mention their fabulous amenities and staff!
When entering The Palace Hotel, the first thing you’ll notice is the beautiful Garden Court. What I love about this iconic hotel is the gorgeous old woodwork, marble columns and exquisite chandeliers scattered throughout. You feel as though you’ve been transported in time. How dreamy!
Neil and I freshened up in our Deluxe Suite. Our room was fantastic. It included a lovely living and dining room along with one bedroom. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with an anniversary cake! Loved it! It was the perfect room and start to our weekend getaway!
We freshened up and made our way to the their on site Restaurant, Pied Piper. All I can say is…..YUMMMMMMM! The food is always amazing at the Pied Piper and there’s something for everyone. We ordered cocktails and appetizers to start. The charcuterie board is HUGE and delish! We also loved the Ricotta Hummus. I could have licked the bowl clean but that would have looked strange to the diners, ha! We couldn’t decide on what main course to order, so we chose 3. The Trout and Cheddar Grits were Ah-mazing, the Wagyu burger and steak were perfection and we left that dinner so full, we couldn’t move.
The next morning, we ate breakfast at their amazing Garden Court. I, of course, ordered Eggs Benedict! We also ordered the Pineapple French Toast. Oh my! This was easily the best French toast we’ve ever eaten! I recommend making reservations. People come from all over the area to experience the ambiance of the gorgeous Garden Court and their famous brunch! We took a walk down to the Ferry Building on the Pier to check out the Farmers Market. If you’ve never experienced this, it’s a must when spending time in the city!
We then drove into Sausalito for a few hours to walk along the boat harbor and eat some yummy seafood! I swear I could eat seafood and stare at the ocean every single day of my life! Hopefully, someday, we will make that happen! Ha ha!
Our last night at the Palace Hotel San Francisco, we decided to stay in, apply face masks, and drink champagne. You know……….what all the married couples do! Wink wink. It was fun to have a quite night all to ourselves. Neil and I really do enjoy each others company and it’s hard to connect and get that one on one time when you are surrounded by kids! This weekend was much needed and our time at the Palace Hotel San Francisco was perfection!
Thank you again, Palace Hotel, for hosting our wonderful stay. We love your staff, the hotel and all the in between! We can’t wait to visit again!

Nice post. I learn something new and challenging on websites I stumbleupon on a daily basis. It will always be helpful to read content from other authors and use something from other web sites.
