Our Dining Room Reveal With Serena & Lily
One thing I LOVE to do, is entertain! In our old home, the floorplan didn’t bode well for large groups or dinner parties. The great thing about our new home is the bright and open floor plan. It makes me so happy decorating fun tablescapes and organizing social gatherings especially when it involves Serena & Lily!
Before moving, I sold and donated quite a bit of our furniture to decorate our new home with a more “California Coastal” vibe. Serena & Lily is the perfect store to make those beachy dreams a reality!
To compliment my dining table, I chose Riviera chairs in white along with the fabulous Shore Dining chairs to complete the ends of the table. These dining chairs are definitely a natural at elevating my dining space!
You may have also noticed the matching counter stools at my peninsula island. These are fantastic additions to the kitchen and help compliment our dining chairs and overall décor. Comfortable, kid proof and easy to clean makes for one happy Mama!
Not only does Serena & Lily carry a variety of dining furniture options, but the have pretty table top décor to take your room to the next level. Here, I used my round rattan placemats and chambray napkins. I think we are ready for that clambake!
To finish off our Serena & Lily dining room, I scooped up the AMAZING Santa Barbara Pendant light. This woven rattan pendant is versatile and can go in just about any space! It comes in natural as well as black. Currently, we are working on our backyard and you may see these hanging from our pergola……
It’s no secret how much I love Serena & Lily. They are based out of Sausalito, Ca and I love to support local companies! Each and every room of our home has some Serena & Lily element to it! I can’t wait to show you the rest of our casa as we finish up our DIY projects and decorate!

This past weekend it snowed here in the foothills and now today it’s going to be 80…. Today will be spent gardening. I’ve noticed that when I’m in the yard planting flowers in my flower box and spend time out there, it really makes me happy and relaxes me. What’s something you do that makes you happy?

You can repeat this tip multiple times on the same bouquet to get maximum use out of your fresh blooms! Simply, cut a small portion off the bottom of the stem, dip in ALUM (found in the spice section of the grocery store) and stick in cold water. I promise you, this trick works. SAVE AND SHARE THIS RECIPE! This festive #stpatricksday recipe is the perfect lunch/snack for everyone! Being the Irish gal that I am, I like to make fun recipes for the kids and this one is s favorite.
•puff pastry sheets
•corned beef (or you can use pastrami)
•Dijon mustard
•Swiss cheese
•clover cookie cutter
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Use your cookie cutter on the puff pastry. Add Dijon mustard, corned beef and Swiss cheese to half the clovers. Put the remaining puff pastry on top. Use a fork to put down the sides and seal the puff pastry. Then, brush egg wash over them. These will bake for approximately 20 min. Trust me…..these are super easy to make and soooo yummy! #puffpastry

SAVE AND SHARE MY MOST VIEWED RECIPE ! This is one of my favorite and most watched recipes and for good reason! My Ham and Cheese Croissant Bake is SOOOO easy to make and perfect for brunch! This can also be frozen and eaten later! Don’t take my word for it….make it and let me know how fast it was devoured.
•4 large croissants
•12-16 oz of cubed ham
•6 oz of shredded gruyere cheese
•6 oz of shredded cheddar cheese
•1/2 cup chopped chives
•6 eggs
•1 cup half and half
•1 tsp. honey
•1 tsp. Dijon mustard
•salt and pepper
Preheat your oven to 375. In a baking dish (spray with non stick spray) add in croissants, ham, cheese and chives. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, half and half, honey, mustard and salt and pepper. Pour the egg mixture over the bake and press down with a fork. Cover with foil and bake for approximately 50 min. This is such a great family recipe and feeds a good amount of people.
