My Favorite Tops to Wear For Summer
Is it seriously July?! Summer has officially begun and with that came a 100 degree heat wave. These are the times I wish we had a pool but I guess misters on a trampoline and water guns will have to suffice for now (I shrug my shoulders as I write this). In this weather, I am usually seen wearing a flowy maxi dress during the day. However, I equally love to find romantic, feminine tops that I can wear with jeans or crops that go well with many different occasions. Today on CCG, it’s all about my favorite tops to wear for Summer, including this Petersyn top.
This top, by Petersyn, is probably one of my favorite purchases thus far. The fun puff sleeves and peplum bottom are super flattering and transforms the top into something pretty and feminine. I also really love the low back detail. I find myself picking tops now that show off my long spine surgery scar and this one is perfect. I paired it with a matching headband that the “Easter Bunny” actually brought my 8 year old daughter. Yes, you read that correctly. I am wearing my daughter, Emma’s, Target headband. It looks pretty darn cute, right? This top makes me feel like Alice in Wonderland.

This past weekend it snowed here in the foothills and now today it’s going to be 80…. Today will be spent gardening. SAVE AND SHARE THIS RECIPE! This festive #stpatricksday recipe is the perfect lunch/snack for everyone! Being the Irish gal that I am, I like to make fun recipes for the kids and this one is s favorite.
•puff pastry sheets
•corned beef (or you can use pastrami)
•Dijon mustard
•Swiss cheese
•clover cookie cutter
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Use your cookie cutter on the puff pastry. Add Dijon mustard, corned beef and Swiss cheese to half the clovers. Put the remaining puff pastry on top. Use a fork to put down the sides and seal the puff pastry. Then, brush egg wash over them. These will bake for approximately 20 min. Trust me…..these are super easy to make and soooo yummy! #puffpastry

SAVE AND SHARE MY MOST VIEWED RECIPE ! This is one of my favorite and most watched recipes and for good reason! My Ham and Cheese Croissant Bake is SOOOO easy to make and perfect for brunch! This can also be frozen and eaten later! Don’t take my word for it….make it and let me know how fast it was devoured.
•4 large croissants
•12-16 oz of cubed ham
•6 oz of shredded gruyere cheese
•6 oz of shredded cheddar cheese
•1/2 cup chopped chives
•6 eggs
•1 cup half and half
•1 tsp. honey
•1 tsp. Dijon mustard
•salt and pepper
Preheat your oven to 375. In a baking dish (spray with non stick spray) add in croissants, ham, cheese and chives. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, half and half, honey, mustard and salt and pepper. Pour the egg mixture over the bake and press down with a fork. Cover with foil and bake for approximately 50 min. This is such a great family recipe and feeds a good amount of people.
