Hello May! It’s the perfect month to wear one of my favorite straw hats! Read on to get details on some fabulous straw hats as low as $22!
Can you believe we’re almost halfway through the year? Crazy, right? The next few weeks over here at the Wagner’s are going to be CHAOTIC. We decided to purchase a new home with our move in date set for the middle of May. I am trying to channel Marie Kondo and get this house together so moving will be that much easier. I have sold, donated and thrown out SO MUCH STUFF. Over last two weeks, I have been the sickest I think I’ve ever been with the worst cold; which then turned into a ruptured eardrum. No…I did NOT shove a q-tip in too far. It’s been “fun” trying to get stuff done when I feel like crapola. Did I mention my ballet schools performances are at the end of the month too? Yeah……I swear chaos finds me. I have been so bad about writing on the blog and I’m hopeful once Summer hits, I will have more time to designate to writing again. However, today, I carved out a little bit of time to bring you my favorite straw hats for the season.
I will admit I am somewhat of a straw hat-oholic. This is one accessory I often use with most of my daily looks during the Spring and Summer. Not only do I wear them to protect my face from the sun outdoors, but they are just the right touch to complete any warmer weather look. Today on CCG, I wanted to share some of my favorite straw hats that either I own or have on my wish list! You may notice a couple here that I have worn year after year. They are still available!

SAVE AND SHARE THIS RECIPE! This is an insanely easy way to make Raspberry Lemon Tarts with minimal steps and ingredients! As much as I love making lemon curd from scratch, sometimes, it’s just nice to cut some corners!
•6-7 oz of Lemon Curd (I used @mackays) you will have left over. I showed the second half of my tarts being made.
•2 packs of puff pastry
•8 oz of whipped cream (I made my own with heavy whipping cream and a little vanilla extract and sugar)
•20 raspberries
Preheat the oven to 400°. Using a cookie cutter or top of a cup (approx 2 inches), cut circles out of the puff pastry. Place the circles of puff pastry into each mini muffin pan cup. Don’t forget to spray the mini muffin pan with nonstick spray like avocado oil! Place on the oven for 10-12 minutes. In a bowl, add the lemon curd and whipped cream and mix well. Stick in the refrigerator until the puff pastry is baked and cooled down. Add the lemon mixture to the puff pastry cups (tip: take a spoon after the puff pastry comes out of the oven and push the centers in). Add raspberry to the top and a little powdered sugar and there ya have it! Super easy, mini bite size desserts that are perfect for that Mothers Day brunch coming up! #puffpastry #minidesserts #easyrecipes ...
It’s that time of year where I can wear white pants again 🙌🏻🤣 Yay for Spring…. ...
Always sad leaving our favorite camping spot…we’ve been bringing the kids here 2-3 times a year for the last 5 years and it never gets old. Sure, we could bring them to SoCal, where it’s warmer and packed with a crap ton of people. However, we much prefer the cooler weather (helps with my POTS), rocky cliffs, less people and you travel through the redwood forest (which looks like a storybook). We love it up here and fantasize about moving somewhere like this once Nicky graduates. See you in June Westport…. ...
In my happy place for a long weekend….Comment COAST and I’ll send the link for this cute sweater (comes in East Coast too)!

I’m so in love with straw hats and bags, and I definitely need a straw hat this summer! Also, you look gorgeous!
Ronald Gagnon | 4th Jun 19
I think it is more the woman that makes the hat, rather than the Hat that makes the Woman 🙂
Kimberly Harrison | 4th Jun 19

I love wearing hats all year especially in the summer. I am obsessing over these monogrammed hats from https://shopilovejewelry.com/collections/hats. You pair your hats with the best outfits!
Celeste HERRIN | 4th Jun 19
🎁 I love the straw hats! I sure wish I had a hat head, but hats just do not look good on me. You have some of the sweetest dresses I have ever seen. They are all so pretty and summery!

your outfit in this post is too cute! I’ve never really worn straw hats before, but it really pulls your outfit together. 🙂 🎁
Rosie | 4th Jun 19
I love straw hats. I have a fav straw hat that I made a dress to wear with it, and have the fabric band, the straw hat really makes an outfit. These are cute selections, it makes me realize you need more than one!!! It looks nice on you, too.
Sandra Watts | 4th Jun 19
Some of these hats are so cute. I never wear a hat but I might have to give it a try.
Mindi Eden | 4th Jun 19
Fantastic outfit- I really like the hat you are wearing in the pics- makes me reconsider a straw hat! 🎁🎁
Dana Rodriguez | 4th Jun 19
That is a great list of hats. They really don’t look good on me I don’t think but I really like the one on the top right. Super cute!
Babette | 4th Jun 19
Love the hats! However, I live in South Florida and a hat would just make me hotter and not in a good way!! 😉😉😉😉 you look beautiful though!! 🎁🎁
laurie damrose | 5th Jun 19
THe whole outfit is beautiful!
Whitney Lai| 12th Jun 19
I love that you shared such a variety of hats 🎩 in your posts. I personally cannot wear a large or really wide hat because i’m fairly short statured and I already know that those types of hats would make me look more stumpy and actually shorter than I already am. You look absolutely beautiful in your dress and hat! Definitely a practical share and I was really pleased!!
Gwen M| 12th Jun 19
I’m one of those people so looney about hats i wear them all year round! I love the Nordstrom floppy red one and am adding it to my list.
Love your outfit BTW
