If you have been following me on Instagram, you would see I have a slight obsession for all things gingham this season. Over the years, I have collected quite a few amazing pieces and every Spring, I happily take them all out as well as add to my growing collection. This year for Easter, I even had gingham salad plates! So today on CCG, I am sharing all my current favorite gingham pieces for Spring.
I love wearing bold colors and patterns in Spring. I have also been known to mix patterns together with a number of my looks. Spring, for me, is my favorite season and most of all feels like “me”. You could say I have a very feminine, almost vintage, style. I am never with out a pair of retro sunglasses in hand either.
I wore this blue gingham dress out on a coffee date with friends last week. It finally feels like Spring in California and I am so happy it’s here! The flowers are blooming and the birds are chirping. I have a blue jay who comes to live on my porch year after year and he made his appearance yesterday! He sits on the bench and knocks on our window with his tiny beak. It’s definitely something I have grown fond of over the years. When my Grandpa died years ago, a blue jay came to live on my parents porch as I was growing up and he did the SAME thing as my little blue jay. I have always connected the two together and so whenever this little bird comes around, I think about my wonderful Grandpa and how much I miss him. Anyhoo……back to fashion…..

This week the kids are off for Spring break. That means tons of outdoor activities and projects to keep them busy! Counting down the days until Neil and I get a mini vacation weekend just the two of us to Mendocino, an area we both have never been before! Hopefully the rain that’s on the forecast eases up so we can enjoy a little sun on the beach! Until next time….xoxo
