Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

Can you believe it’s almost May? Where on Earth did the time go? May is probably one of my favorite months. Not only do I get to celebrate Mother’s Day as a mom of four, but it’s my birthday! Well….. I used to be excited for birthdays and now it’s just a year closer to being “old as dirt” as my 5 year old son has mentioned. With that said, I never pass up on doing a blog on gift ideas. Whether you are looking for a gift for your Mom or even yourself, I have got you covered with some pretty awesome ideas for Mother’s Day.

Charms and Charm Bracelets

Usually for Mother’s Day, Neil will get me a bouquet of roses, the kids attempted to make me breakfast in bed. They will yell at me to go back to bed just so they can serve me. It’s actually quite adorable. We then go to brunch because that’s my favorite thing to do! One thing my husband has been known to get are Pandora charms for my bracelets. I got my first bracelet right before my spine surgeries and loaded them up with charms. What I love about the Pandora charms is that each charm has a special meaning. Friends and family gifted me charms with strength and health etc. right before my surgery. Now that my daughter has been diagnosed with scoliosis and must wear a brace 20 hours a day, we brought her to Pandora to buy a special charm. With each brace she has over the next 8 years, we will get her a new charm. You can put the charms on their bracelets or necklaces. I have both bangle style and the cord style and love both.

More Jewelry

If you don’t fancy Pandora charms, I found a few other precious baubles that would brighten any Mother’s day.

Small Home Decor and Candles

I love giving and receiving any small home accessories or yummy smelling candles. I think this is a great gift to give if you aren’t looking to spend too much but want to show you are thinking of them. It also couples well with flowers.

Pajamas

I LOVE to gift pajamas! I think it’s such a great gift to give not only to your Mom but to friends, or even yourself. These season I have also come across some super cute gingham pairs that are right up my alley. I have a feeling I will definitely be purchasing some off my own list! In all seriousness though, pjs are comfy, cute and reasonably priced.

Other Ideas

Who else is fond of chocolate? To be honest, if Neil doesn’t buy me chocolate truffles, I will drive myself on over to See’s to grab a pound or two. I have been known to hide them in my bedside table or in my dresser. Currently as I type, I am eating a Cadbury egg from Nicky’s Easter basket. Don’t judge.

Other than chocolate and flowers, Mani/Pedi gift cards and massages are another awesome present. That way, that hard working Mom, or YOU, can take some much needed time to yourself to relax and refresh. Heck, go get lunch by yourself while you are at it!

I hope my guide has helped you find that perfect gift for Mother’s Day. Enjoy the day with loved ones relaxing. Until next time….

I’m a sucker for charms especially ones that tell a story or remind you of a shared memory.
