If you are anything like me, you have a whole section in your closet designated to white tops. This is a piece that never goes out of style, can be worn several different ways and looks good on everyone. I have quite the assortment of white blouses and this one is currently on my favorites list. In fact, this designer, Equipment, is my favorite line for amazing quality button down blouses. Not only do I have this crop version but I have their signature style in an assortment of other colors. They can even embroider your initials on them from their online store if you feel so inclined. And prints…….don’t get me started on their prints!
Last week, my husband and I spent the day in San Francisco. I love that we live 45 minutes away and if you leave early enough, you miss any traffic! We ate chocolate croissants and lattes at a little French cafe’. Our 4 year old son, Will, came with us and while I had my hair done at the salon, Neil and Will explored the city. After I was done, we walked around Chinatown which still had the Chinese New Year’s decorations up. I love visiting San Francisco. There has always been a huge part of me that feels like a city girl inside even though I grew up in a town full of vineyards and cowboys. When I was a teenager, I spent three Summers in New York City, by myself in a Julliard dorm, dancing with School of American Ballet. Maybe that is where this longing to be in a big city stems from?
I don’t love Valentine’s Day for the gifts, the chocolates or the mushy card. I love it because it’s a day dedicated to showing the person or persons in your life how much YOU love THEM. Don’t get me wrong, I love me a mushy card but who it’s from is what puts a smile on my face and melts my heart. Life becomes so busy and chaotic with four kiddos that we probably don’t celebrate our love enough. This year, Valentine’s Day is a little more symbolic for us.
