The Little Black Dress You Need Now
One thing every woman should have in their closet, is a little black dress; also known as a LBD. It’s the perfect garment to reach for whether you are going on a date night, special occasion or a cocktail party. It never goes out of style and the LBD is super easy to accessorize. Today on CCG, I am sharing some of my favorite little black dresses that can take you from day to night.
Ok, so I have to be honest. I literally have this dress in four different colors! Originally, I purchased this Jill Stuart dress in Ivory to wear with a gorgeous mink coat (that will be up on the blog later in the week). When it came in the mail, I fell in love instantly. If you have been following me for a while, you know how much I adore a fun fit and flare. This style dress is flattering on just about everyone. I always feel so feminine and chic and it helps give me more of an hourglass figure with a waist. Most dresses I seek out are a fit and flare style. So, when I come across one that works well, I just have to scoop up every color it comes in, right?! Who can resist a well fitting Little Black Dress?
We decided to spend the afternoon eating lunch and window shopping in downtown Pleasanton. They have the most adorable main street with a variety of restaurants. Neil and I also enjoy walking through the neighborhood surrounding downtown. Pleasanton is definitely one of my favorite places to visit especially with it being so close to where we live. I wore an Alice and Olivia tweed jacket along with black ballerina flats and a black fringe bag. What I love about a great LBD, is that you can wear any color accents you want, any jewelry you want and the possibilities are endless.
I just love the sweetheart neckline and timeless fit of this dress. Oh, yes! Let’s not forget that it has pockets too! I have a thing for pockets! Whatever the occasion, and that includes running errands at Target, a black dress can be your friend. I have worn this same dress with a denim jacket and flats grocery shopping and I have also worn it on a date night with Neil to dinner in the city. It’s that versatile! At the bottom of my post, I have included an assortment of LBD’s that are currently on my wish list along with some adorable accessories that go with almost any little black dress.

SAVE AND SHARE THIS RECIPE! Super easy and oh soooo good! These #pumpkinpie granola bites store perfectly in the fridge for an easy snack or treat! My kids LOVE them!
âą3 cups quick oats
âą3/4 cup pumpkin purĂ©e (NOT pumpkin pie mix)
âą3/4 cup mini chocolate chips
âą1/2 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
âą1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract
âą3/4 cup Grade A pure maple syrup
In a large bowl, mix all ingredients together. Using your hands, firmly roll balls together. Then, put them in the refrigerator for 30 min to set. Iâm telling you these are AMAZING. Try them and let me know! #recipereels #easyrecipes

SWIPE LEFT FOR A LAUGH I thought this deserved a permanent spot on my feed as proof I got @theeneil to do a couples massage while in #Maui complete with an outdoor soaking tub, shower and outdoor Hale for our massage. We went straight from Hawaii to Disneyland and when we got home from our 2 days at Disney and felt like we were 80, Neil asked if we could go get another couples massage. đ€Ł
Counting down until our next #Hawaii vacation. Last year was our first time visiting (we took the family to Oahu) and we loved it so much, @theeneil and I took a trip by ourselves to #Maui đ Both islands have a completely different vibe but one thingâs for sure, they are both so beautiful. I took this photo of #blacksandbeach at WaiÊ»Änapanapa State Park. We rented a bronco and drove the entire island. It was such a wonderful trip and weâre already trying to make plans for another vacay (still debating on whether to bring the kids or not đ€Ł).
We flew home last night, spent the night in our own bed and now we are currently driving to Disney with the kids. Iâm going to need another vacation after this vacation. đ Really loved our time in #Maui Already planning our next trip⊠đ€Ł

SAVE AND SHARE THIS DIY HACK! We turned an inexpensive wine fridge into a pricey CafĂ© Matte White appliance đđ» We have all CafĂ© appliances in our kitchen and I reeeaaalllly wanted a wine fridge. We took a look at the Cafe one and did a double take on the price! No way were we going to over $3k on whatâs essentially a mini fridge đ So, @theeneil and I brainstormed and decided to wing it with this #diy project. While Neil cut into the cabinets, I sanded and painted the door. We found that Sherwin Williams âRock Candyâ was an identical match. First, I actually used one coat of the Rustoleum appliance epoxy enamel and once that cured, I did a coat with a metal roller if the rock candy in satin (I chose satin because I didnât want a high gloss coat since the other appliances are matte). I got the handle off eBay and Neil drilled new holes. You will have to get creative on how you install the handle since they use something you canât even find at a hardware store. After a few trips to Home Depot, we got it figure out. Neil added some new trim to polish it off and it fits like a glove! All in all, we saved around $2500 with this DIY project and it looks AMAZING! #cafeappliances #winefridge
