A couple of Sunday’s ago, we took the kids to downtown Pleasanton to walk around and grab breakfast. Pleasanton, like Livermore, has an adorable downtown with plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from. Unfortunately for us, our favorite breakfast place was completely packed and waiting an hour was just not going to happen when you have 4 hungry kids with you. We ended up walking around and snapping some photos and drove back to Livemore to eat with Grandma and Grandpa.

You need to hurry up and click the link to this skirt! It is on sale right now for almost half off! This skirt is made by one of my all time favorite brands. The color is a rich navy blue and the ruffles add an adorable feminine flare which adds to what makes it so unique. There are so many possibilities of looks to wear with this skirt. I can wear it with a tee and some sandals, or dress it up a bit for night.

Here, I chose to pair it with a white dot ruffle top that has come to be one I wear ALL the time. I actually wore this same top yesterday on a picnic with the girls which will be up on the blog soon. It comes in a few different prints and colors and can be worn layered or by itself. I love the ruffle detail at the collar and it fits true to size.
These glasses are a new find from a company I came across on Instagram. They are handcrafted in Milan, Italy and are super affordable. The quality is also incredible for the price point. I had been looking for a retro white cat eye for some time now and when I saw these, it was love at first sight! They are definitely on the more trendy side, but that is one thing I really love about them. They are retro, wild and oh so cute and will work perfect with my high waisted swimsuit this summer.
I’m so glad the weather has given us more sunny days here in California. I am definitely NOT looking forward to the craziness that will be 95 this week?! We went from extreme rain to hot as hell. What’s even crazier is that it shows rain in the forecast for the weekend???? Today, I’ll be taking the kids to the store to load up on popsicles and frozen treats to help us get through. What are your plans for this hot weather?

Disneyland 2026 šš» I made it yaāll. Definitely sore, and fatigued and sleep deprived and the back pain is insane. But I did it. š¤£...
I debated jumping on the bandwagon to share my 2016 throwback. In all honesty, 2016 was the hardest year of my life. Itās something that Iām reminded of daily in this never ending cycle of chronic pain and illness. For those that are new here, in 2016 I underwent 3 surgeries within 4 days. My 14 level spine surgery consisted of 2 surgeries going through my back and side, and then I needed an emergency bowel resection 3 days later due to my colon twisting and flipping on itself. When I woke up from my spine surgery, I immediately moved my right foot and tried to then move my left. It turned out, they knicked my spinal cord and damaged it. I had no feeling in my left leg or foot. Didnāt know if I was moving it and it felt like nothing was there. I remember immediately panicking and because I still had a tube in my mouth, they gave me a paper to write down what was wrong. Drs came in and told my husband and I that they werenāt sure if Iād walk again and definitely sure I wouldnāt be dancing. I lost 25 lbs, a Picc line was put in to try and get me any nutrition. I threw up bile in bucket after bucket.
I didnāt see my kids for 3 1/2 weeks and then had to be moved to a nursing facility. Once home, I had nurses and PT that would come to our house because staying in that facility and not seeing my kids drove me insane (my youngest was only 17 months old). Neil had to shower me, and wipe my butt š. I went through 18 months of PT pushing myself to prove them all wrong. When I think about the last 10 years (and 2016 in particular), it has been a nonstop uphill battle for me. During that same year, we learned that both our daughters would then be diagnosed with the same thing. This is why I keep pushing forward no matter how I feel mentally or physically. I need to show these kids that mama can handle it and I want them to remember how strong Iāve tried to be because some day they may be faced with this same decision. I played this song on repeat laying in the hospital.
