Today on CCG, I am talking about my favorite haircare products that I am using right now. So many of you continuously ask me about what I use on my hair. Since it has been a hot minute that I have done a beauty post, I figured now was a great time to let you in on my tips and tricks for healthy haircare. I have listed everything I am currently using on my hair, including how I use it below.
1. Oribe Shampoo For Magnificent Volume
First, I do not wash my hair every day. I usually wash my hair every other day or sometimes even every two days. When I do wash my hair, I absolutely love using the Oribe line. Not only does it smell fantastic, in my opinion, it makes my hair noticeably softer. I opt for the volume shampoo although I have thick wavy hair because who doesn’t love voluminous locks?!
I also sometimes break up using Oribe products with, you may gasp, Trader Joe’s Tea Tree Shampoo! I know, I know! But it feels so refreshing and there are no parabens or harmful ingredients in it. I use their body wash a few times a week as well.
2. Oribe Bright Blonde Radiance & Repair Treatment
This is my favorite blonde brightening treatment, hands down! Since I have a few highlights put into my hair every 6-9 months, I have looked for the perfect product to help keep the brassiness away and add some brightness to the blonde. This, by far, is the best one I have used. I use this every 3rd wash instead of my normal conditioner that I have listed below.
3. Oribe Conditioner for Beautiful Color
Can you tell I have a thing for Oribe? I really do love their products and feel like you can’t go wrong with any of them. I leave this conditioner in for a few minutes after I massage in into my scalp and hair. It instantly makes my hair soft and detangles it perfectly.
4. Oribe Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil
This is another one of my all time favorite products for haircare. Since I have frizzy, wavy hair, I always use some type of oil on it once I get out of the shower while it’s wet. I squirt a dime size amount into my hands and rub it on throughout my hair. I also repeat this step after I have finished curling my hair or using a flat iron.
I ‘ve used this Pureology one as well as this Moroccan Oil product. The pureology shine serum smells amazing!
5. T3 Micro Twirl Convertible Curling Wand
You may notice I don’t have a blow dryer listed as a step. Well, I am not one to use one unless I must get my hair done quickly for an event. I wash my hair at night and by the next morning, it is dry enough to style. I also feel like this helps keep my hair healthier and stops split ends from occurring because I have cut this step out. Don’t get me wrong, if I need to dry my hair in a jiffy, I will use this T3 Micro one. It’s currently 30% off online.
Moving on, the T3 Twirl is my go to for all my curling needs. I have the convertible base and switch out with different barrels for any possible look I want. I mostly use the 1.25 clip barrel, however, I use the 1″ as well as the 1.5″ quite often as well. Not only is it pretty to look at, but it works perfectly every time.
6. DryBar Money Maker Flexible Hold Spray
After using a tad more Oribe serum, I use this DryBar brand spray to help keep my curls in place. Sometimes, I brush out my curls lightly depending on the look I am going for. This spray is a new find for me and I have been really happy with it so far.
As you can see, I am not a huge product user when it comes to hair. I like to switch up my products every so often and will let you know when I do. For me, using too much product can weigh my hair down and it becomes greasy. Have a product you think I need to try? Let me know what your favorite haircare product is in the comments and I’ll check it out!
To celebrate my one year CCG blog-iversary, I posted some oldies but goodies from one of my first posts below. When I told my husband I needed him to take a picture of my hair for my daily haircare post, he said, ” You should use those pictures from our snow trip last year.” Funny, we are headed to the snow this weekend for some much needed alone time.

SAVE AND SHARE THIS RECIPE! This is an insanely easy way to make Raspberry Lemon Tarts with minimal steps and ingredients! As much as I love making lemon curd from scratch, sometimes, it’s just nice to cut some corners!
•6-7 oz of Lemon Curd (I used @mackays) you will have left over. I showed the second half of my tarts being made.
•2 packs of puff pastry
•8 oz of whipped cream (I made my own with heavy whipping cream and a little vanilla extract and sugar)
•20 raspberries
Preheat the oven to 400°. Using a cookie cutter or top of a cup (approx 2 inches), cut circles out of the puff pastry. Place the circles of puff pastry into each mini muffin pan cup. Don’t forget to spray the mini muffin pan with nonstick spray like avocado oil! Place on the oven for 10-12 minutes. In a bowl, add the lemon curd and whipped cream and mix well. Stick in the refrigerator until the puff pastry is baked and cooled down. Add the lemon mixture to the puff pastry cups (tip: take a spoon after the puff pastry comes out of the oven and push the centers in). Add raspberry to the top and a little powdered sugar and there ya have it! Super easy, mini bite size desserts that are perfect for that Mothers Day brunch coming up! #puffpastry #minidesserts #easyrecipes ...
It’s that time of year where I can wear white pants again 🙌🏻🤣 Yay for Spring…. ...
Always sad leaving our favorite camping spot…we’ve been bringing the kids here 2-3 times a year for the last 5 years and it never gets old. Sure, we could bring them to SoCal, where it’s warmer and packed with a crap ton of people. However, we much prefer the cooler weather (helps with my POTS), rocky cliffs, less people and you travel through the redwood forest (which looks like a storybook). We love it up here and fantasize about moving somewhere like this once Nicky graduates. See you in June Westport…. ...
In my happy place for a long weekend….Comment COAST and I’ll send the link for this cute sweater (comes in East Coast too)!
