Livermore Wine Festival

Every year since I was a child, we have gone to the wine festival in Livermore. When I was younger and my mother owned a dance studio, I used to dance on the makeshift stage they set up next to the wine booths. Over the years, this little festival has grown and it’s even more fun taking my own children now.

Something I love to do at the festival is walk along the different booths looking for that special something I just need to have. I can literally shop anywhere. With the large assortment of shops, there is something for everyone and you can drink while strolling along the street. This year I opted for the piña colada in a pineapple and it was definitely  worth the $10 bucks!

For the last 8 years, I have become accustomed to getting my palm read and let me tell you, for the most part, she is always very accurate. This is something I must do before we end our day at the festival. This year, it was not the same older lady I am used to sitting with and she was not nearly as good. However, it is always a fun thing to do if you happen to be in Livermore during the weekend fun.

We have quite a few shops here in town that design and make home items. I always love looking at what these companies can do with old wine barrels. They are some of the most unique and fun pieces I have seen and someday, I will find a place for one in my home. We came across a vendor called B Unique Designs. My husband fell in love with this wooden skyline picture of San Francisco. We did not get it, but I just may take a special trip into their store to buy it for Father’s Day. I also loved the EAT sign they had. You can see both below.

Lunch time came around and the kids chose to eat hotdogs and sweet potato fries, while my husband and I,  waited in line for a shrimp po-boy and tri-tip sandwich. Many of the local eateries set up a booth, so it’s not the typical fair food you would normally think to see.

After a few hours and some sunburnt shoulders, we called it a day and headed home. I wore a blue gingham maxi dress that I bought last year before surgery. I was so afraid when I grew 3 1/2 inches that it wouldn’t be long enough but it surprisingly fit perfect and now shows off my sandals a bit more. This hat is a new purchase that I am so happy about. It was not only super affordable, but it goes with everything I love to wear in the Spring and Summer. I wore it last week on a picnic with my girls. You will see that up on the blog shortly as well! The basket bag is also a great accessory I stumbled upon online for a very good deal. Check them out below in my outfit details.

If you are ever out this way, you should definitely check out the wineries and little downtown Livermore has to offer. It really is a pretty place to visit.
