Our DIY Shiplap Built-in Fireplace Entertainment Wall

Neil and I have tackled our biggest DIY yet (our DIY shiplap built-in fireplace entertainment wall)! For YEARS, I’ve wanted built-ins in our Living room. Our home came without a fireplace of any sort (which I really hated) and although we had a nice Pottery Barn Entertainment Center, it just didn’t embody what I envisioned for this room. When getting estimates for a project like this, the quotes went from 7-11k! This is where my amazing idea came in! I showed a picture of something similar to Neil and asked if he could build it out. Without hesitation, he said yes!  And so the planning begun! I’m so lucky to be married to someone who just goes along with all my ideas, haha! Read on to get the deets on our DIY Shiplap Built-in Fireplace Entertainment Wall!

DIY GE Café Wine Beverage Refrigerator Look-A-Like

Today, on the blog, I wanted to share how we turned an inexpensive wine refrigerator into a GE Café lookalike. We already have the Cafe matte white appliances in our kitchen (which we LOVE). I wanted to add in a wine refrigerator to our kitchen and when we found the matching Cafe appliance, it was OVER $3000!  Honestly, that’s how much our actual refrigerator cost and it was a hard no to the matching wine/beverage one. I am not one to give up so easily, so I talked my husband into our next DIY project!

April J Wagner X Gray Malin Art Curator Spotlight

Ahhhh! I am so so excited to share my recent partnership with Gray Malin! For years, I’ve been a fan of his work and have collected so many different pieces to display in our home! When Gray Malin asked to showcase me as an Art Curator, I was honored. Today, I want to give you a peek into my home and share which Gray Malin Art is my favorite. Not only will all artwork be shoppable, I’ve also linked quite a few home items as well. So without further ado….apriljwagner x Gray Malin Art Curator Spotlight is live!

Our Loft Refresh with Avalon Shutters

This is a sponsored post for Avalon Shutters. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I can’t believe it’s November!! Time is literally flying by! We’ve been busy traveling, dealing with medical appointments and Halloween. However, in between that, we managed to do our loft refresh with Avalon Shutters (also called the kids hang-out room haha). Again, we worked with our go-to shutters company, Avalon Shutters. Take a look at some before and afters of our space and see how we turned this boring blank space into a fun kids gaming area complete with a retro refrigerator and more!
