Who doesn’t love a cold bubbly glass of champagne during the Holidays? Or every Saturday for that matter? Are you raising your emoji hand? It’s no surprise that my favorite alcoholic beverage is champagne so let’s take it up a notch and talk about my favorite champagne cocktail recipes. Years ago, when I would go wine tasting with friends, I wasn’t very keen on any of the red or white wines we would taste. I needed something chilled and sparkling to wet my whistle. Champagne was the perfect solution. I have since broadened my tasting palette to include whites and reds but my love for champagne will never be matched! This Holiday season, I decided to list six easy champagne cocktail recipes for the next six weeks of the Holiday fun.
As most of you know, my husband, Neil, and I try and take the time to go on a date night once month. In a perfect world, we would do this more often. However, juggling the kids, sports practice, ballet, work and everything else, it’s pretty amazing if we escape to dinner alone at all. We chose to take a trip out to San Francisco for the day and eat dinner at Palomino’s San Francisco.
A few weeks ago, my husband and I spent the day up in Napa Valley at Castello Di Amorosa. We are so incredibly luckily to live just a two hour drive away from such a beautiful place in California. The last time we visited Napa was actually 10 years ago and now we feel crazy for not exploring this place more! I guess having four children can do that to you. When I was in the hospital last year, with plenty of time on my hands one late night, I came across Castello Di Amorosa. I knew right then and there, that once I was feeling well enough, I would make it out there to see this magical place.
This is a sponsored post for Ghirardelli Square. However, all opinions are my own.
Last weekend, my husband and I spent our first day and night away from the kids since my surgery last July. My surgery traumatized my four year old so badly that he had refused to spend anytime away from Neil or me. We have made several attempts over the last few months to leave for short periods of time with little success. This time, I bought the 400 count pack of water balloons from Costco and had a pep talk and sent him over to Grandma and Grandpa’s hoping it would go smoothly. Our destination of choice, Ghirardelli Square.
