Learning My New Normal After Scoliosis Surgery

I started writing this post 5 days ago. I haven’t been motivated to write recently with everything that’s going on. Lately, I just want to lay in bed and watch my Real Housewives shows. At this point, I am caught up on all of them so I have no choice but to finish this post. (scoliosis)

They tried to make me go to rehab and I said no…no…no.

I’m Baaaaaack. I don’t even know where to start. This whole experience has been an emotional roller coaster. Some parts I don’t remember at all and some I wish I could forget completely. It’s been more than 3 weeks since I have been home in my own bed, watching my own TV, taking a shower in my own bathroom, going to the bathroom without 4-5 people watching me, etc. I can’t even talk about how long it was before I saw my kids without breaking down in tears.

The Next Step, Literally (scoliosis)

Yesterday was Emma’s birthday. Ā Unlike most little girls turning 7, she didn’t get to have a little party with her friends, or go to a movie or whatever else she would want to do, instead she came to the hospital. Ā On one hand, it was very sad for us that she didn’t get to have a normal birthday, but on the other hand I told April she will always remember this birthday.

At Witts End (Scoliosis)

Hello All,

This is Neil once again. Ā I feel April’s first post-operative blog post will be coming soon, but not yet. Ā You are all stuck with me for a little while longer.
