This is a sponsored post for the San Francisco Premium Outlets. However, all opinions are my own.
I can’t believe Summer is coming to an end and the kids start school! Since all four kids are going back to school (yes even Nicky is going to “big kid” school which I am a sobbing mess over), we made it a day of back to school shopping and headed over to the San Francisco Premium Outlets in Livermore to get our shop on!
About San Francisco Premium Outlets
The San Francisco Premium Outlets is located approximately 40 miles from downtown San Francisco in the beautiful wine country of Livermore Valley. My hometown! It’s the largest outdoor outlet mall in California and there’s quite literally a store for everyone. Shop more than 180 designer and name-brand outlet stores including Off Saks, Bloomingdales, Prada, Kate Spade and Burberry. If you are a visitor to the area, make sure to also check out the area attractions like the amazing local cuisine and the abundance of fabulous wineries. Live local? Local residents are invited to shop and can pick up a Local Residents Discount Card for exclusive discounts in store! Sounds fab, right?!
Our Trip
I was pretty brave to venture out with ALL FOUR kids to spend it shopping; at least that’s what my husband said while I piled them into the van. Luckily, the San Francisco Premium Outlets are extremely convenient and basically a one-stop-shop for all your back to school style needs (it’s also a pretty great place to shop for this mama too…wink wink….). After approximately 5 hours of back to school shopping, my kids and I found some amazing items!
Our first stop had to be Polo Ralph Lauren! They have clothing and accessories for the entire family! Will was so excited to find a “sergeant jacket”, which was adorable and probably his favorite purchase of the day! The girls asked to go in Gap and Old Navy where we snagged a ton of basics like jeans, t-shirts, shorts and a few floral jumpsuits. Laura and Emma also spent some time in H&M and Forever 21(Laura took a LOONNNGG time in there, HA!). I popped into Calvin Klein for some items, as well. They have the softest undergarments hands down! Whenever I take a trip to the outlets, I always stock up.

Another outlet store I frequently visit when I am here is Tommy Hilfiger. I always seem to find something I just have to have! Luckily the kids behaved as I perused the women’s section. Although, I had to bribe them with lollipops and Wetzels Pretzels if they didn’t embarrass me and run through clothing racks. Just my kids……..? Awkward…..

Next came Nike! The outlet store is HUGE! They have a great selection of shoes for both adults and kids. Will and Emma always beg to come in this store! We picked up some awesome activewear as well as a couple pairs of shoes!

37 stores later, it was FINALLY time to head to the Disney Store. Oh yes, this one, I hold off until we are close to the end. It wouldn’t be out of character for me to say something like, “If you open the dressing room door one more time while I’m half-dressed, we won’t go to the Disney Store!”. I can’t be the only mom that does this! Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. Anyhoo…..my kids eyes literally light up when they see this store. Honestly, mine do too. My favorite thing to purchase here are the fun PJ’s for the kids. Of course, the kids love EVERY SINGLE THING in this store! Nicky tried on some clothing in the middle of the isle, Will played with toys and Emma loved all the school supplies. Nicky ended up ultimately choosing a Spiderman mask and continued to wear it through the rest of our shopping and lunch. In fact, he wanted to wear it to bed that night, which was interesting.

On the way out, I stopped in Kate Spade where I found a flirty fit and flare. They always have the best clothing and accessories! Thank goodness they had cookies and the kids were pretty well behaved!
I treated them to Wetzels Pretzels. Soooo yummy! The kids also begged me to grab some Cinnabon for home, which I obliged. They make the best “kids are in bed and Mama’s hungry” snacks!

I’d say this Back To School shopping trip was a complete success! The kids had fun, I had fun and we found some great Back To School items that the kids absolutely love! Although I had so much fun shopping with the kids, I can’t wait to take a shopping trip solo sometime soon!

Wishing my room actually looked like this right now. It’s currently filled will piles of laundry waiting to be folded after our trip....
Disneyland 2026 🙌🏻 I made it ya’ll. Definitely sore, and fatigued and sleep deprived and the back pain is insane. But I did it. 🤣...
I debated jumping on the bandwagon to share my 2016 throwback. In all honesty, 2016 was the hardest year of my life. It’s something that I’m reminded of daily in this never ending cycle of chronic pain and illness. For those that are new here, in 2016 I underwent 3 surgeries within 4 days. My 14 level spine surgery consisted of 2 surgeries going through my back and side, and then I needed an emergency bowel resection 3 days later due to my colon twisting and flipping on itself. When I woke up from my spine surgery, I immediately moved my right foot and tried to then move my left. It turned out, they knicked my spinal cord and damaged it. I had no feeling in my left leg or foot. Didn’t know if I was moving it and it felt like nothing was there. I remember immediately panicking and because I still had a tube in my mouth, they gave me a paper to write down what was wrong. Drs came in and told my husband and I that they weren’t sure if I’d walk again and definitely sure I wouldn’t be dancing. I lost 25 lbs, a Picc line was put in to try and get me any nutrition. I threw up bile in bucket after bucket.
I didn’t see my kids for 3 1/2 weeks and then had to be moved to a nursing facility. Once home, I had nurses and PT that would come to our house because staying in that facility and not seeing my kids drove me insane (my youngest was only 17 months old). Neil had to shower me, and wipe my butt 🙈. I went through 18 months of PT pushing myself to prove them all wrong. When I think about the last 10 years (and 2016 in particular), it has been a nonstop uphill battle for me. During that same year, we learned that both our daughters would then be diagnosed with the same thing. This is why I keep pushing forward no matter how I feel mentally or physically. I need to show these kids that mama can handle it and I want them to remember how strong I’ve tried to be because some day they may be faced with this same decision. I played this song on repeat laying in the hospital.

Did you guys PLAN to match? 😉 Adorable pics! If I want time to actually hunt for the best finds and the best deals – I’d have to leave my toddler with hubby. Can’t wait until he actually behaves in stores! My favorite is your littlest guy in the bomber jacket ~ waayy too cute! Although he wouldn’t get a lot of use out of it here in FL, we DO have a short winter, sooo I think I’m going to have to find that jacket. 😄

We did pretty good at the outlets last week. We knocked it out of the park on shoes and lunchboxes/bookbags. We still have to go back and try again for uniform pants. We found some at Hilfiger but a little too pricey for them there. We got short on time so have to do a second trip. You guys look like you had a blast.
Shajeh Qidwai | 13th Aug 19
Absolutely adorable family !! Outlet shopping is always so much fun and a great way to get really good deals. My family always goes at least once year especially around Christmas.
