Last weekend, my husband and I spent our first day and night away from the kids since my surgery last July. My surgery traumatized my four year old so badly that he had refused to spend anytime away from Neil or me. We have made several attempts over the last few months to leave for short periods of time with little success. This time, I bought the 400 count pack of water balloons from Costco and had a pep talk and sent him over to Grandma and Grandpa’s hoping it would go smoothly. Our destination of choice, Ghirardelli Square.
When we took a trip into Sunol for wine tasting, we fell upon a charming and quaint church called “The Little Brown Church”. The flower filled courtyard and scenery surrounding it, drew us in. I just had to stop and take some pictures. You will not find a lovelier little church in this area.
We recently made a trip out to Sunol to Elliston Vineyards to walk around and enjoy the peaceful and lush grounds. It really is a gem tucked away from the old town area and we definitely will make a return trip in the near future. I have been on a wine tasting kick lately and came across this winery online. I am so glad we made the 30 minute drive.
On Mother’s Day, we loaded the kids in the car, lathered them up with sunscreen and made a trip out to Capitola and Santa Cruz. I had been indecisive all week on where I wanted to go for the day and ultimately chose Capitola since it’s fairly close to where we live. Since I was a young girl, I have had a love for the ocean and love to visit it any chance I get. My birthday is this weekend, and we plan to drive up to Sausalito for the day. I can’t get enough sea air or lobster rolls!
